We were last there in March 2024, and they are renovating and will provide even better facilities.
Further, they have an on-site restaurant bar, Monsoon Bar and Restaurant, with ambient fireplaces and an outdoor balcony setting.

Great post! We are seriously considering a trip to NZ and as seasoned campervanners, we will hire a camper van to explore. Do these campsites all take camper vans and motorhomes, or just tents? My tenting days are done! These sites all look fabulous so I would love to visit.
All these campsites feature powered sites and room for large campervans, except Kohaihai which has no powered sites.
A campervan roadtrip Abfab style sounds exciting! Make sure you book well in advance if you are travelling the busy period from Dec 20 to mid-feb.
